remote control software

I am looking for GNU or other freeware for HP-UX, that is similar to Tridia's "Double Vision" software.

They call it "remote control software" but essentially it allows administrators to connect to a tty and monitor activity, or type keystrokes for the user, etc.

Does anyone know of such software?

I dont know of any free software equivalent. There are other commercial options though, PEEK is one. Maybe they charge less than Double Vision ?

Re: remote control software

There is a tool called VNC available under the GPL. I used this under Windows to monitor several remote systems. This tool is also available for most UNIX flavors. Have a look at:

Never tried this under HP-UX, perhaps you can tell me your experience (if you decide to test it).

Re: remote control software

I just looked at it, alas I think the unix side is for X-Windows only. I'm running straight text terminals here.
