Remote Make Recovery
in my work, i need to do make_recovery in more of 400 HP-UXs machines, my doubt is if possible to I create a Ignite server in a Server A and execute the make_recovery of my machines to write in the Tape Drive of my Ignite Server in Server A. If not possible there is another solution???

Re: Remote Make Recovery
If I understand correctly, Marcelo if you have enough disk space, you can create an ignite server and do a make_net_recovery and this will create the images of every HPUX box you got in the ignite server.

Re: Remote Make Recovery
First take a survey of your machines which has same directory structures with same software and same version for all this server's you can use the same ignite tape to restore the os in all the machines if you have any kernel changes take a seprate ignite for that particular machine ignite will not restore data it help you to restore the os with the updated patches and modification you made so the maximum bakup might be 20 to 50 i feel prepare a document in excel sheet by differentiating the server's that will make you work low and save your time.
