remote printer configuration
i have a TVSE dot matrix printer connected to a winxp machine.i installed priter services for unix also in the same pc and configure as a remote printer in hpux 11.11 box.I am able to print in this printer. But my problem is its not printing any of the 132 column documents.Because it is using the windows driver. i want know how to map the lpt1 of a windows mechine to hpunix server. can anybody help me in this issue

If the windows driver can't print 132 columns then perhaps you need to look at doing it the other way around. Or, use CUPS, a fancy distibuted printing system.

If you look at /etc/lp/interface/printername
You will see that the remote script is not very developed for options.
Stop looking . You cannot do it.
Otherwise get a box to hang the printer on the network and do it that way
Jetdirect ex+ would be good and then print from PC or ux via the net

HPPI is available for 11.x here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?pnameOID=18922
You will need to attach an external EX box to that printer for it to communicate with HPPI.
