Remote Printer in HPUX

We have some IP printers (non-HP) setup as remote printers.

I already found how to fix the "stair step" printing. Yet, I need to be able to change font types or sizes for example on LP5. To fix the stair step I modified the /etc/lp/interfaces/LP5 file.

The language environment variable is set to es_PR. Yet when I go to vi /msg.txt, the ñ character changes to a q! And the accent in Moisés changes to an i (Moisis). That I need advice with also.
