Remote Printer queue Disable

Hi,

Remote printer queue gets disable automatically,I want to know is there any specifice reason?
OS is HPUX 11i v1.

when I checked through lpstat, getting connection to 172.20.220.5 is down and printer queue is ready and waiting.

Is there any printer issue or network issue?

How can I diagnose this?

Please help me.

Without physically examining the printer, we cannot know anything more.

The error message states "connection to 172.20.220.5 is down", i.e. the server cannot connect to the printer. Is this IP address correct? Are there any firewalls between the server and the printer, that might block the connection?

The problem may be caused by either
1.) some problem at the printer prevents it from receiving data from the network
or
2.) a network problem or misconfiguration may prevent the connection, although the printer itself may be fine.

Yes....as stated above, the connection is down.

since hp can't talk to the printer, it disabled the queue.
