Remote printing in HP-UX 10.20
Hi all,
I have 3 HP-UX machines, K260/3, D270/2 and D320, I have a Jetdirect printer configured in the K machine.
In D machines I configure the printer like remote printer in K machine and when I send something to the printer I get the next message:
D/320 # lpstat ljinf1
ljinf1-0 root prioridad 0 29 Mar 13:57 en ljinf1
(entrada est?ndar) 1739 bytes
ljinf1-1 root prioridad 0 30 Mar 08:08
(entrada est?ndar) 1739 bytes
printer queue for ljinf1
D320: waiting for 10.72.0.3 to come up
*****
10.72.0.3 is the K260/3?s IP.
I have a Linux machine in my network and this procedure works fine.
Thanks to all.

Re: Remote printing in HP-UX 10.20
Hi,
Perform the following from your D-classes:
# telnet 10.72.0.3 515
Does the connection get established? TCP/515 is the printer service port. This is to check if the printer service port is listening for new print requests.
Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: Remote printing in HP-UX 10.20
Have you enable the spooler in the "D" class machine? run SAM to check that.

Enable spooler with:
# enable ljinf1
# enable ljinf1
