Hi
I have a HPUX10.20 system.
I have a failed mirror disk and the OS is creating log*.raw files in /var/stm/logs/os .
Can I remove the older log*raw files? It is taking up space in the /var partition.
Thanks

Solution
Yes, you can safely clean them up. The logs are generated by STM. Clean up what you want but keep memlog, ccbootlog, and logN.raw.cur
You could also search the forums or docs.hp.com for /var/stm/logs/os for more info.
Hope this helps,

Re: Removal of /var/stm/logs/os/log*.raw
Hi Kenny,
Yes, as already advised, it is safe to remove all but the latest log*.raw file, though of course you may be deleting data about other defects.
The way to stop the file growing is to fix the mirror disk, or remove it from the system. I don't know of a way to stop the logging to the .raw file.
I would also check you have the latest version of OnlineDiags and the latest patch for that (which was A.29.00 plus PHSS_29444), but you probably know that 10.20 is now out of support.
