remove files
Hi All,
we have a script that finds and deletes bunch of files.for some reason it takes long time for the last one week.Any idea where to start the troubleshoot.no changes have been done in the recent days to that server or

Hi:
Define "long". How many files are being deleted? How many files exist in the directory from which you are deleting?
Show the command (or script) that you are using to select and remove the files.

Hi,
If the files being deleted suddenly increased to thousands, then it will take time to finish.
Just count the files on target directories if it is increased drastically. Sometime some application puts lot of small log files.
