Does anyone know how to remove a vxvm plex from the command line? I have a disassociated volume plex I can't get rid of in the GUI.
Thanks

						Hi (again) Henry:
Sorry, it the above reference, while valid, also points to the man pages. See version 1.5 of 11i for the 'vxplex' (1M) command, in this case:
http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B9106-90008/B9106-90008.html
Regards!

James, thanks for looking into it. I have already checked into the man pages. There are so many combinations of arguments and there weren't a lot of examples. It also depends on the state of the plex the command to use is different. An HP engineer support engineer found this for me.
To remove a dissociated plex,
vxedit -r rm plex_name
If the plex is still associated to a volume,
vxplex -o rm dis plex_name
