Removing primary dump space

Hi all,

We have an issue whereby we have stale extents on /dev/vg00/lvol2 (dump area) on the mirror of the root disk. This would not appear to be a problem but we got this disk replaced and when we attempt to re-mirror it fails at the same point the stale extents were showing previously. I therefore assume we may need to re-create our dump area. Is there a safe/best way to do this. I am aware it is going to require a boot. I'm not even sure if this will resolve our problem.

Hi Adam,

Unfortunatetly there is no other I know but to use Ignite-Ux...
This is because of the contiguous space allocation
So its a bit more than just a reboot.

Hi Adam:

To find the document that Jamie suggested, simply navigate to:

Maintenance and Support for HP products -> Technical Knowledge Database -> [select "search by doc ID" in the dropdown and specify "KBRC00001761"].
