removing remote printer using Sam
Hello,
I am using SAM (hp-ux 11.0) to remove a remote printer which has been disabled. However, i think it is having problems removing it because it has been trying for just over 2 hours. I didn't think it would take this long to complete.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to either stop SAM for running the job or to remove the printer from SAM without using SAM.
Thanks in advance
Maria

Re: removing remote printer using Sam
You may have outstanding print jobs in the printer spooler queue. Check if there are any such jobs and remove them all before removing the printer.

Re: removing remote printer using Sam
Hi,
You can remove a printer from the command line using the 'lpadmin' command.
e.g
# lpadmin -xmyprintername
