RESOURCE_NAME entries in the conf file

Hi All,

Is there any limit to the number of RESOURCE_NAME and VALUE blocks? Am I doing right in simply having 5 "blocks" of RESOURCE.. paramters if I want to monitor 5 different system paramters (file systems in my case) ?

Thanks, Colin.

Re: RESOURCE_NAME entries in the conf file

Maximum of 60 RESOURCEs can be specified for a cluster (all packages included).

This section of the "Managing Serviceguard" manual demonstrates how several are listed:

Re: RESOURCE_NAME entries in the conf file

In the past, I remember having a cluster of 3 nodes with 7 or 8 monitored resources. I never looked into the control scripts in detail but even if there is a limit, it should not be anything low like 5 I presume.
