ressource allocation on Integrity VM
I have an hpux 11iv2 with 2 Virtual Machines.
Now I'd like to to stopped all the VM's and run an application on the physical machine
do i need to remove the VM's to free the ressources (cpu and memeory)?

Re: ressource allocation on Integrity VM
It is not recommended that you run applications on the VM host.
The host is tuned for VM guest management.
You can shutdown the VM guests to return the resources to the VM host.
or
Completely remove all the VM guests and the IVM software off of the VM host
Really depends on your end requirement is.

Re: ressource allocation on Integrity VM
Hi,
If you make an Npar/machine as VMhost , it modifies and tune the kernal for VM environement.
1. It is not recommended to run applications on VM host other than tools like Serviceguard, glance and all. So the best thing will be,
1. shutdown your both Guests,
2. Remove both IVM configuration
3. Remove VM Host application from Npar.
Regards,
Sooraj
