Restictions with NIS ??

Are there any restrictions when wanting to implement NIS on HP-UX when you are running MC ServiceGuard with HP StorageWorks VA7400 ??

I had this scenario in the place i used to work before.
NIS and MC/SG co-exists but the only problem is you could not use trusted mode of systems.
