Restore Ignite "system panic"
Hi everybody, I'm trying to change my rp7410 box with an rp4440. I made an Ignite tape from the rp7410 and I'm trying to restore it on my rp4440.
1. I was working with an EVA3000, now I'm getting connected to an XP.
2. I have a Service Guard cluster running on it.
3. I'm just trying to get vg00 where my hpux and my applications are installed. Then I will restore data with DP.
4. When I restore on the rp4440. I'm getting the next system panic:

Ignite can work well with similar model machines, but an rp7410 to an rp4440 is probably too different for this to ever work.
You will probably have much more luck by just installing the OS from scratch. This affords you the opportunity to go to the latest version of HP-UX, 11iv2 (11.23) or if you are really cutting-edge, 11iv3 (11.31), and to get all the latest patches installed.

Hi,
Can you tell us your current patch bundle on the rp7410? Make tape recovery is not supported for different hardware, but it could be running, fyi that rp4440 requires at least Dec '04 patch bundles installed
