Re: Restore SQL Databases

If you do the install in the X Windows GUI, there is a checkbox that lets you decide whether or not to restore to the original location.

As I recall it is checked and you need to uncheck it and specify a restore location.

Re: Restore SQL Databases

Ok, but what I need is to change the location of the files that support the database. I bakcup from one server with n files groups and I need to restore to another server in diferent locations. I supposed that if I do right-click on the object to restore there I can do some changes to it.

Where can I download the manual for this product?.
Thanks

Re: Restore SQL Databases

Roberto,

First make sure that the online backup of SQL server on your target server is configured in DP as well.

The manuals can be downloaded from http://ovweb.external.hp.com/lpe/doc_serv/ (product: storage data protector). The Windows Integration guide discusses the online backup of SQL server. The Admin guide might be usefull as well.

Re: Restore SQL Databases

Ok thanks, I could resolve setting the properties for the object to restore. I have to redirect all the files to the new location.
Thanks
