Restore /var/opt/omni from Ignite tape

Is it possible to restore just '/var/opt/omni' from an Ignite image? If so what would be the steps in doing this? Thank you!!

Is this on tape, if so, is it PA or Integrity?
If on disk, I think it is gzipped so you would need to look:
gzcat image.gz | pax -t -v | grep var/opt/omni

Then redo once you see the appropriate path.

the Server is PA... I've tried to extract this directory but keep getting Tape Error 5. I think I have a corrupt tape :(

You need to move the tape forward first:
mt -f /dev/rmt/_mn fsf 1
