restore
i want to restore something on tape using frecover to a different destination where it was originaly backed up
i need a script to do that that will guide me what to restore from tape ad to where

This command -
frecover -f /dev/rmt/0m -i /users/nxw -v -F -x
Will recover the directory /users/nxw from tape in drive /dev/rmt/0m to the CURRENT directory (The -F option).
Also attached is a script (created by my predecessor) using frecover but you will need to set up some directories and change the frecover command to that above as the script will recover to the original data location as it stands. It may give you some ideas though.
