Hello All,
I have two servers a and b and have same file systems.I'm trying to copy a:/mx/sc to b:/mx/sc
how do i do that using tar .If so how do i exclude the mount point /mx/sc/cs

How much is in /mx/sc/cs? It may be easier to tar it up and exclude on the untar?

You can use pax(1):
pax -w -f mx.tar /mx/sc

Then use:
pax -r -f mx.tar -c "/mx/sc/cs/*"

(You may have to experiment with the pattern.)
