Restoring a 11.23 server from and Ignite server.
Can an 11.23 server be restored via the network if it is being backed up to an ignite server? I am in the process of planning a restore to increase the / filesystem and have found some documentation but need to find something more concrete as we do not have a test environment. Any and all info is appreciated especially known issues and gotchas.

Re: Restoring a 11.23 server from and Ignite server.
Shalom Carslos,
The answer to your question is most definitely yes.
The procedure is different than PA-RISC so you'll want to practice it a few times both to make sure your setup is correct and you are familiar with the steps.
There is no IPL prompt on Itanium boxes making the procedure unfamiliar to us long time PA-RISC veterans.

yes as long as your ignite server is on same subnet where client booted.

Re: Restoring a 11.23 server from and Ignite server.
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I do not have the luxury of practicing the restore prior to the actual downtime and was wondering if the differences between Itanium and PA-RISC are that different. What I need to do is 1. restore the client off the ignite server. 2. Interrupt the boot and select the disk to restore to. 3. resize / form the current 200 meg size to at leat 500 meg. 4. Restore the server. Does anyone know some steps to do this. I have read the documentation poste on HP's ITRC but was wondering if someone knew the procedure.
