Restricted Sam access by Group

I am trying to setup Restricted SAM access for a specific group. I was able to setup Restricted Sam access that works for indivdual users, but I have not gotten it to work for a group.

I created the template using the Restricted SAM builder, "sam -r" selecting the group option, and applying granting the privileges to the desired group, NCSOPS. The users that I tested it with had the desired group as their Primary group. On attmepting to run sam as that user, I get the error to the effect of: You must be super user to run sam.

Hi,

Run sam -r and choose "group" after choosing the required template.
The window there is on the top of the screen

Thanks for you time, I was able to fix my template, it turned out to be the issue of Primary vs Secondary group membership. The group with Restricted Privileges must be the user's primary group.

Re: Restricted Sam access by Group

Aside from that, you are correct, run "sam -r" and choose "group".

Thanks again. - Cheers!
