I've created a menu for our support staff and one option allows them to start SAM. I've setup the system to only allow them into restricted SAM and assigned the support staff to a group with access to it.
When they try to start SAM the following error comes up:
"DISPLAY variable is not set. Starting the Text User Interface. Please wait...
the directory /etc/sam/rsam must have the permission -rwx------ Exiting!"
Any idea what's going on? /etc/sam/rsam has the permissions drwx------

Re: Restricted SAM/SMH - rsam permissions problem
I changed it to 755, but it then wanted the sub-directories(usr and grp) the same so I changed those as well.
Everything works fine now.
Thanks!
