Riscs running #fsadm -d -e ??

I have the pleasure of having "Online JFS" and are able to run defragment without unmounting filesys. But how safe is it? Is there any chance that it will destroy something? My intensions is to run this during while our system is slow, which means 2-6AM and I would like to sleep. Would it be anything else than 100% safe to run it unattended?

Defrag'ing is only safe if you have your patch level as uptodate as possible. If youre using old patches, or none, then its definitely NOT safe. Once you keep uptodate with a recent GR patch bundle (say, from this year), it works fine. We run it on ours all the time, without problems.
