rmsf question

On 11.0, I removed a DLT8000 drive from the system that was at addr. 10/16/4.1.0

after running "rmsf -a", the tape still show in the ioscan as no hardware.

the man page notes that most drivers don't support "unbind" necessary to remove it a device from the system.

So,
a) is that why the dlt still show in ioscan?
b) will this clear w/ a reboot?

It should clear after a reboot.
