Re: RP 7410//HPUX 11.11//Can't boot from IGNITE TAPE.
Hello,
For some reason, the Ignite tape is not a complete archive.
a) What version of Ignite bundle was used?
b) Did they, by any chance use
flag -d"" in make_tape_recovery?
In other words, what was the command that
they used to create the archive?
c) Did they run "check_tape_recovery"
after the backups to tape (or something
similar like verifying the logs)?
d) Was the tape written for the same
architecture (PA-RISC tape can only
recover PA-RISC server)?
Another things that makes me intrigued.
control_from_server is a configuration item
used to determine if the Ignite-UX server
that the client has connected to should control the session or not (normally
useful for make_net_recovery, for example).
Cheers,
