RP3410 & MSA 30 with ULTRA 320 SCSI Card
Hi,
I am attaching an MSA 30 to an rp3410 on a dual port ultra 320 scsi card but cannot see the 8 disks in the MSA, see ioscan below. Any ideas on what the problem could be? I can see as far as the MSA controller down 1 path but no disks & nothing on the other. Also the card uses a new mpt driver /dev/mpt4 & /dev/mpt5, any config on the driver needed?

Re: RP3410 & MSA 30 with ULTRA 320 SCSI Card
Hi Adrian - I had a similar issue and found this ....
HP Dual port SCSI Addaptors
1. For more detailed information on installed A7173A adapter(s), including the SCSI parameter settings as well as verification of devices that have been connected to the A7173A adapter(s), issue the mptconfig command for each channel of each A7173A adapter. Use the device files displayed in the ioscan -fnkd mpt output.
Eg mptconfig /dev/mpt4
NOTE - When attaching an MSA30 to A7173A, ensure the server is powered off and on otherwise the disks will not be seen in ioscan !!!
Hope this helps
Regards
Dean
