rp8400-8420 upgrade and software licences

I read in the upgrade manual that Veritas will require a new licence key to work, because the model number will change during the upgrade. Thankfully I am not using vxvm, but still on LVM for this server.

Does this licence issue also apply to Veritas Netbackup ?

Does this also apply to Sterling Commerce Connect:Direct NDM?

To answer my own question:
1. No, veritas netbackup uses the hostname.
2. Yes, Connectdirect uses 'uname -i' which is the model number, which changes.
