rpc message in syslog.log
since I have upgrade my compute servers (four J6700) to 11.i, I got an error message from rpcbind in the syslog file:
rpcbind: cannot accept connection: bad call sequence number (current state 4)
Does anyone know about that ???
Thx.
Claus

Re: rpc message in syslog.log
These error messages are common upon Upgrade, so most of the people prefer cold install.
try by installing recent GOLGQPK11i(support plus CD) patch bundle.

Re: rpc message in syslog.log
You should try to install the current STREAMS cumulative patch PHNE_27703.
Best regards...
Dietmar.

Re: rpc message in syslog.log
Claus,
#Check the /etc/rpc file if it??s ok, so exit, if not, change the lines and save.
After the above changes or not do a restart
#inetd -c
To see whether RPC service is running use this command
#rpcinfo
more details
#man rpcinfo
Regards,
Ricardo

Re: rpc message in syslog.log
now I have check all the rpc settings and found nothing special.
Moreover I have talk to ohter admins in my company and found out that the patch, Dietmar mentioned is not an option for me, because of company standard Unix environment within philips !
So I have to give up and tell the UNIX standardisation group about my problem.
Thanks a lot to all.
Regards.
