RPC problem on hpux 11.11

I have just installed HPUX 11.11 on an N class server.

In trying to run SWINSTALL to install some bundles on the application software CDs, the following errrors were generated;

1. RPC protocaol "ncacn_ip_tcp" with endpoint "2121"

2. RPC protocaol "ncadg_ip_udp" with endpoint "2121"

Also, I tried using sam, but it was just hanging.

What do I do?

Hi,

Is there a firewall between you and the server ?

Try below steps,

# swagentd -k
# swagentd -r
# rm /var/adm/sw/products/swlock
# swinstall -x rpc_binding_info=ncadg_ip_udp

I ran into similar problem few days abck, but don't remember what was done to resolve it. See following thread.

Also, try restarting swagentd. Are you trying to install it on remote host??
