rpccp show mappings hangs

Hi all,

I have the problem on a HP-UX 11.11 system that the command "rpccp show mappings" just hangs with no output. Every once in a while (about once per day) the rpcd also dies. Can anybody point give me some ideas where to look? The syslog does not show anything.

My first step would to be sure that my system was patched up to date using the custom patch manager, selecting at least the "recommended".

If the problem continues then contact HP.

Custom Patch Manager shows that I have all current patches installed. I wonder if this has something to do with the Lovesan/Windows RPC vulnerability that apparently also affects some Unix flavours.

You want to look at the mention of failure of libcma-dependent programs brought about by PHNE_27063 (and carried as well by successors) in this thread:

You where right Kiran, I had PHSS_28386 installed but was lacking the two additional fixed libraries as described in Security Bulletin 276. After installing them and rebooting the system seems to run fine after nearly a day of observation.
