Running HP-UX 11i.23 TCOE

Is there a Best practice for maxdsize pertaining to the amount of physical memory within the Server? I have 12GB and 24GB nodes running large jobs and seem to be limiting my useres. Error messages such as: "data exceeds user's limits".
Can I set that to at least half of my physical mem?

There is a file /usr/conf/master.d/core-hpux. This file has details as to what could be a min and max value for maxdsiz. check it.

I do know any oter details about this. Hope this helps you.

Thanks, but that file does not exist on this system.

There is 11i v2, which is also 11.23, but no 11i.23 - although that is a creative merge :)

Are you wanting to set maxdsize - ie the setting for 32-bit applications, or are you wanting to set the one for 64-bit apps?
