rx3600 Itanium server processor clock frequency

I have recently installed a rx3600 server - When I look at system properties through SAM, I see Clock Frequency: 399 MHz. I thought these are 1.6 GHz processors. So what is the deal here?

Might be looking at the FSB rather than the CPU frequency. Try running machinfo and see what it reports.

run

/usr/contrib/bin/machinfo

The result could look like this:

CPU info:
64 Intel(R) Itanium 2 9000 series processors (1.6 GHz, 18 MB)

The Clock Frequency is the bus speed.

"machinfo" got the correct information. Attached is the snap shot from SAM - Is some thing wrong with SAM's interpretation or am i mistaking the clock frequency for something else?

If you are on HP-UX 11.23, then it appears you need the latest SAM cumulative patch.
