I have a Visualize C3000. Is it an S700 or an S800 machine? I need to apply a patch ASAP and don't know which one is the right one.

Re: S700 vs S800
Hi,
for your info:
- workstations are identified from B,C,J as initial letter, like your C3000.
- other ones should be servers.
Also: two ways to know if your system is a workstation or a server:
# model
# uname -m
Both commands above shown something as 7xx or 8xx, for example:
# model
9000/770/J200
# uname -m
9000/770
Of course, in this instance it is a J200, another workstation, you see it from model output, anyway 'uname -m' is another command to know if you work on a workstation or a server.
I hope this helps you (...next time! ;-))
Best regards,
Ettore

Re: S700 vs S800
yeap,
C3000 is workstation. This is a s700 machine.
usually patches apply to both s700_800. but remember to check before apply.
