saint compilation and usage
I got a copy of saint from the HP-UX Shareware site in the interest of checking my systems for holes. I have installed the product and the web page comes up with the following error.
SAINT data collection
Data collection in progress...
03/26/01-12:22:36 bin/timeout 60 bin/fping nofear.lsp
Command failed
cannot run bin/fping: No such file or directory
Has anyone seen this or can someone direct me to a "Saint forum".

Re: saint compilation and usage
Hi,
I am running SAINT 3.1.3b.
Both timeout and fping commands should be found in the bin directory of $SAINT_HOME. If they are not there, the HP-UX port is not complete. You should try to ./configure and make install directly from the source tarball instead.
[root@abc saint-3.1.3b]# ll bin/timeout
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 33269 Feb 1 17:51 bin/timeout
[root@abc saint-3.1.3b]# ll bin/fping
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 56097 Feb 1 17:51 bin/fping
Hope this helps. Regards.
