SAM Error after QUALITYPACK install for HP-UX 11.11

Hi All,

1. After insatalling QualityPack SAM does not start. Did any face this issue?

2. Is there way we can compile new bootable HPUX B.11.11 with updated HardwareEmbel, Support and QUality packs.

You mean regen a kernel because SAM doesn't work?
How did you install the QualityPack, using SAM or swinstall?

To answer your first question I have attached swlist.txt and SAM screenshot.gif.

I installed Quality Pack using Swinstall -i

Actually when I said "compiled" literally I meant if there is way I could pack all the patches in HP-UX B.11.11 Disc and reburn it as a DVD withh all updates like we do in Windows Enviorment for Win2k/WinXP.

That just says to provide /var/sam/log/samlog.
It would be helpful to show that here.

Well, you can swcopy all of the patches into one depot. You could attempt to burn this depot onto the DVD. Or you can use swpackage to create a tape depot and then burn that file.

What were you planning to do with that DVD?
If you were thinking of installing it on other systems, you can do that directly from the swcopy depot.
