sam error
I am trying to see the lvol information using sam , i am getiing the follwing error .
SAM internal error. x x
x x The error handler has gotten the error code -91827364 of type FATAL x x
xlqqx with the associated strings: xqqk x
xx x A system error occurred. fork(2) failed. SAM was attempting to x ^ x
xx x create a subprocess. fork(2) set errno = 12. x x
xx x
and it says no logical volumes or volumegroups are defined in the system . But when i see usig command line ie vgdisplay or lvdisplay i am able to see all the lvols and vgs .Any clues whats wrong with sam ??

Check you syslog for messages regarding fork failed or any kernel parm failing.
Might be you have to increase nproc for this problem.
Looks lijk no more processes could be started.

Above lines are from syslog and i dunno see anything related to kernel param error in syslog and plus can i use any command to find out the current load on nproc eg sar or something ...
my nproc is nproc (20+32*MAXUSERS)
MAXUSERS= 128

Try using mstm to see if any hardware is failing !
