Re: SAM help for lvm and mcsg
You can do everthing in SAM for LVM, that i know.
And even MCSG it is possible but not sure.
Well SAM is just to ease the operations and it's menu driven otherwise it fires the same commands that we use in command line.
Hope that helps.

Re: SAM help for lvm and mcsg
as this has steps to do various things using command line and SAM, and also mentions some of the stuff you cannot do using SAM
Personally I do not like using SAM for any Serviceguard stuff.

Re: SAM help for lvm and mcsg
As soon as a volume group is activated in cluster-mode (exclusive or shared), SAM is useless. You can only view information, but change nothing.

Re: SAM help for lvm and mcsg
sam is limited for lvm management.for managing mcsg functions you can use service guard manager.
Serviceguard Manager is the graphical user interface for Serviceguard product. With it, you can monitor, administer, and configure clusters managed by Serviceguard, Serviceguard Extension for RAC, Metrocluster, Continentalclusters, and Serviceguard Extension for Faster Failover.

MC Service guard.
There are lot of docs available at docs.hp.com. How ever if you want to manage serviceguard installal service guard manager and execute /opt/sgmgr/bin/sgmgr &
File --> conect --> give user name and password.
