SAM NIC & general error

I have recently updated 10.20 to the 12/2001 general release (yes, I know I'm a little behind on patches) on a K210 server (yes, I know it's an old box). I'm receiving 2 SAM errors:
1. There is an X windows error (see attachment)
2. More inportantly, I can not change speed or duplex settings on 1 of the NICs.(see attchment on next submit)

I followed the instructions on the NIC error (copty /usr/newconfig/etc/rc.config.d) and the NICs failed to respond and I copied back the old drivers. Then I tried to lanadmin -X 100FD 4 to make the NIC full duplex @ 100mb & it crashed the NIC again. I rebooted, and everything worked, but the NIC is set @ 100HD, while the switch port is 100FD. This is causing some errors:

netstat -rn

Re: SAM NIC & general error

John,

For your nic problem, manually edit the appropriate config file to set the speed/duplex according to the driver for your card:
btlan hpbtlanconf
btlan0 hpeisabtconf
btlan1 hpbasetconf
btlan3 hpbase100conf
btlan4 hpgsc100conf
btlan5 hppci100conf
btlan6 hpsppci100conf

Re: SAM NIC & general error

speed is set in files like /etc/rc.config.d/hpbtlanconf

Example.

HP_BTLAN_INTERFACE_NAME[0]=lan0
HP_BTLAN_STATION_ADDRESS[0]=
HP_BTLAN_SPEED[0]=10HD
HP_BTLAN_INTERFACE_NAME[1]=lan1
HP_BTLAN_STATION_ADDRESS[1]=
HP_BTLAN_SPEED[1]=100FD

Good luck.
