SAM not displaying correct loaction for spooled devices

To all,

After migrating the spooled devices via a SAM extract to a new server on 11.23 Itanium, the printers and plotters screen is showing the location as /dev/null rather than the familiar -. Rechecked permissions and ownership and they are the same on both systems. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Re: SAM not displaying correct loaction for spooled devices

They should be /dev/null

Unless they are special printers:

Example

device for WR01: /dev/null
device for WR02: /dev/null
device for WR03: /dev/null
device for WT01: /dev/null
device for WT60: /dev/null
device for _xtq10_: /var/spool/Xerox/xpxx/er46.pcacorp.net/.49xxprinter
device for _xtq11_: /var/spool/Xerox/xpxx/er28.pcacorp.net/.49xxprinter

Geoff,

These are all printers for SAP. Attaching a
two page .ppt file with old and new.

Re: SAM not displaying correct loaction for spooled devices

To all,

Turns out that I needed to add a step to the conversion process that was recommended. Step was to execute a transferqueue in /opt/hpnpl/bin to upgrade from hpnp to hpnpl.
