Re: SAM Problem

goto maintenance and support for hp patches. A keyword based search for sam returns a lot of patches. check latest and check if you have it or not.

Re: SAM Problem

Hi,

it seems that something went wrong during your patch installation.

try to check your /var/adm/sw/swagent.log file to see if your patches installation has encountered any errors.

you also can run a "swverify \*" to figure out all the incomsistencies on your system.

Hi Nagaraju

You may selectively re-install SAM utility from hp-ux OS Media

Re: SAM Problem

Hi

If this was working fine maybe something might have happened during the patch installation, you need to do a swverify and make sure everything come clean.

I would engage HP , run the patch analysis and send it over to them and thye would have a better idea what is causing this issue, also if you are down on the patch level you need to upgrade.

ALWAYS make a make_tape_recovery image before you start patching/working on the server making changes.
