SAM Problem
I am trying to configure Oracle 10g RAC on HP-UX 11.11 Server, i have configured Cluster and applied RAC related patches, but now am facing
problem opening sam. It prompting error msg as below.
# sam
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Invalid shared library file: /usr/lib/libpthread.1
/usr/lib/dld.sl: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/sam[220]: 28445 Abort(coredump)
Kindly help to solve this issue.

I have applied patches which is mentioned in
www.metalink.oracle.com for RAC on HPUX 11.11
along with QPK DEC 2004. Can u suggest me
any particular SAM patches is required.

it seems that something went wrong during your patch installation.
try to check your /var/adm/sw/swagent.log file to see if your patches installation has encountered any errors.
you also can run a "swverify \*" to figure out all the incomsistencies on your system.

You may selectively re-install SAM utility from hp-ux OS Media

If this was working fine maybe something might have happened during the patch installation, you need to do a swverify and make sure everything come clean.
I would engage HP , run the patch analysis and send it over to them and thye would have a better idea what is causing this issue,also if you are down on the patch level you need to upgrade.
ALWAYS make a make_tape_recovery image before you start patching/working on the server making changes.

You can check the patch lelvel , and can check further to upgrade the shotfalls :
Hp-ux cpm collect : you may have a look ,
