Re: Sam problems
Do you get any error messages when you try to start SAM?
Are the filesets of SAM just installed and not configured? (swlist -l fileset -a state | grep inst)

There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: Sam problems
Pedro,
If I understand your question.... you went to ver 11.0 and now a user (not root) can not access SAM.
First,
Check and make sure your permissions are ok:
/usr/sbin/sam -r-xr-xr-x 1 bin bin
Also check and make sure your /etc/passwd file is ok for root.
If you want this user to have restricted use of SAM, you may want to set him up again with sam -r.
Hope this helps, I wasn't positive about your question.

Re: Sam problems
Pedro:
Couple of thoughts,
1) Ensure to have /usr/sbin in the user's profile to use the command sam or use /usr/sbin/sam when typing the command.
2) By default sam can be accessed by root only. Eventhough the permissions of the command "/usr/sbin/sam" are -r-xr-xr-x and owned by the user bin who belongs to a group bin. If you want to configure other users to access SAM, with access to few functional areas, you can use Restricted SAM Builder. To use it be a root and use the command sam -r and follow the instructions.
Regards......Madhu
