1: no...we can't afford to keep apache running on all systems and keep all apache's up to the latest secure versions. Please don't make hpux basic functionality dependant on a web server.

1. We don't use Apache because of the security risks, and would be unwilling to have it on our operational system. We also do not use Netscape, other than in a chroot jail, because of the ability to open up an xterm in the print dialogue. So, with no web server, and no web browser, a web-based SAM isn't going to get very far.

2. We use the GUI SAM interface. As well as making life easy for us, it also allows the customer's own administrative staff to do simple things like user and group housekeeping.
