SAM

Hello,

For some reason SAM doesn't work anymore, nor swinstall in interactive mode. I get the following error message. Any help? I can't seem to locate this file on the system anywhere, used find to locate.

Thanks,
Steve

sam: FATAL ERROR: Can't find the library "OBAM_HOME/lib/libIDMawrt.1" or "/usr/obam/lib/libIDMawrt.sl"

Re: SAM

Did your /usr/obam directory get deleted? You may need to restore it.

Re: SAM

Look in the sw logs in /var/adm/sw for swinstall errors, and /var/sam/log/samlog for sam errors.

You may also want to check /var/adm/syslog/sylog.log for system errors.

Re: SAM

Hi

It sounds like U have deleted some of the library files which are rqd for SAM, or U have removed some patches. If U have any other same system, try to copy from there. If U have removed any patche, please reinstall those.

Best of luck

Re: SAM

My server has that file in the

/usr/obam/lib directory.
I did a search all along
I could find this patch PHNE_15422 but,
this is for version 10.10.In this patch I could find that file libMwart.so.1

I could not find a patch for version11.0.

Bill Hassel should help replying to this.
What is the version of your OS and model of the server.

you could copy the files from another system if they are both the same version and support 64-bit OS.I assume you are using HPUX11.0

Re: SAM

I've seen similar things to this on SAM in the past. It is possible that something has gone wrong with the config side of it.

You could try running

swconfig \*

This will attempt to configure any filesets on the system that are detected as being unconfigured. It's quite a while since I last ran this, so I can't remeber if it tries to reboot the server on completion, so it may be worth making sure that your users and application are offline before trying this.

Re: SAM

Do "swlist -l fileset -a state" to find out if all your patches are configured.
