SAMBA 3.0 identification problem under HP-UX 11i
I have installed a SAMBA 3.0.7 under HP-UX 11.11 PA-SPARC. I want that my PC users have access to one Unix directory. I config a samba so that the user will go to identify to PDC server.
But nobody can access to an unix directory. If I enter a good pw a Samba didn't find the user name. If I enter the bad pw a Samba say me that a pw is incorrect (see the logs, smb.conf, etc. in attachment).
(Really I have the same problem with a Samba 3.0 under a Tru64 where a Samba 2.0 work good).
Any idea? Help!

Re: SAMBA 3.0 identification problem under HP-UX 11i
Shalom,
Depending on your smb.conf setting you may need to run smbpasswd -a and set the samba password for each user.
If security=domain or security=ads is used, then you will need to issue a net join command to have the HP-UX Samba system join the domain. you will need an admin password on the Windows domain to complete this work.

Re: SAMBA 3.0 identification problem under HP-UX 11i
Thx Steven, yes I have:
security = ADS
password server = PADFS01.uah.dom
and I have issued:
$ net ads join admin....bla,bla
(see an attachment)
