SAMBA 3.0

Does anyone know where I can get SAMBA 3.0 for HP-UX 11.0 and ll.1? Product numbers? Right now I have SAMBA 2.2.8a and because I am moving to a windows 2003 environment I am going to need SAMBA 3.0 installed on my UNIX servers.

THanks for the help.

Re: SAMBA 3.0

You download a ver 3.2 depot from the archive and porting center:

Re: SAMBA 3.0

You can download the CIFS technology previous verson from software.hp.com

But that is available only for 11i not for 11.0. There is no supported product from HP as of now that works with ADS/Kerberos.

Even if you are migrating the domain server to 2003, as long as your ADS runs in multi-mode (where it can speak both NTLM as well Kerberos), you should still be able to authenticate the SAMBA users against the
ADS.

If installing an unsupported product on your HP box is a concern, I would enable multi-mode in the 2003 box and wait for couple of months before HP comes up with the supported CIFS version that is based on Samba 3.0
