samba and windows pdc authorization
Hi,
i have read the samba docs, but not found, what i am serch for. Maybe here is someone you has an idea.
I have a samba server with
security = server
password server = localpdc
allow trusted domains = yes
....
Now i want to create serveral groups on the pdc and want to use these groups to authenticate different shares on my server. What have i to configure in my smb.conf to make this possible?
Heiner

Re: samba and windows pdc authorization
Two possibilities for this problem:
1) set up seperate unix groups with these users and use the smb.conf parameter
valid users = @
2) set up winbind to have unified logons between UNIX and NT
see:
http://de.samba.org/samba/docs/Samba-HOWTO-Collection.html#WINBIND

Rainer
