Samba Connection Not Open

Does anyone know what is the meaning of the following (samba log)?

smbd/error.c:(133)
error packet at line 2945 cmd=113 (SMBtdis) eclass=2 ecode=5

smbd/uid.c:(168)
Connection not open

error: broken pipe

We have a weird situation where some time, on the same server, some of the share folder prompt access denied OR network path not found. However, when browse other share folder on the same server at the same time, it work fine.

Re: Samba Connection Not Open

Jason,

what version are you running ? smbstatus

also, can you run:
smbclient -L localhost -U%

also, try to re-start you smbd in debug mode, if possible.

Re: Samba Connection Not Open

Thanks for the prompt response, actually the above message was capture when i enable the debug mode, 2.

There were no changes on the smb.conf. However, we do frequently receive the following message.

write_socket_data: write failure. Error = Broken pipe

is this a network sign of problem or server ? But the network guys claim there is no problem on network ...
