Samba Connection Problem
Using Samba version 2.2.3a configured to use (2) interfaces (public LAN & private LAN). I have an automated process making samba connections via the private LAN interface. At a certain unknown point I start getting a "Could't find free connection." error in the samba log and the automated process fails.
I have run smbstatus when samba has failed and see the number of connections to the share in the 90's all using the same PID (along with other connections). While the private LAN interface is failing the public LAN interface continues working properly. The only fix that seems to work is to recycle samba. I am not using "lock dir / max connections" in the config file.
Any suggestions as to the cause of this is greatly appreciated.

Re: Samba Connection Problem
you can specify max. connection in samba config file.
Open up SWAT (port 901) and put appropriate entries in smb.conf file. You will have to restart samba.
