Samba Upgrade

Hallo
we use Samba version 2.2.3a on itanium
rx2600 HPUX 11.22.
Can we upgrade the samba version ?
Which samba version is the last supported
version in HPUX ?

The only one I can find is the 3.0.2 opensource for 11.22

Sorry for the late reply.

I believe that 11.22 is out of support life. So if you do not mind running in an unsupported configuration (which appears true), then the latest HP CIFS Server 11.23 bits can probably run on your 11.22 system. You may have to play around with your swinstall options to get it installed, but it should run okay. Of course, a better option would be to upgrade your system to 11.23, but I am sure you already know that.

There are compiled binaries for 2.2.10 and 3.0.5, both HP CIFS Server and Opensource (at samba.org) for 11.23.
